Pray for Shae

As many of you already know, Shaelyn Smith, a junior at our school, underwent surgery Tuesday, October 16 to remove a brain tumor. Praising God, the surgery was successful. We are continuing to lift Shae and her family in prayer. The Smith family is a big part of our CHCS family. Shaelyn’s mother, Julie Smith, is an elementary teacher at CHCS. Her father, Kameron Smith, is on our school board and Shae’s sister Acacia is a CHCS graduate and sister Lovina is a CHCS sixth grade student.

Shaelyn’s volleyball teammates have rallied around Shae and they came up with the idea to sell t-shirts and sweatshirts to show support for the Smith family. The shirts will feature Shaelyn’s favorite colors and Bible verse. Proceeds will be given to the Smiths. Order forms are available in the office or from CHCS students, Katie Crago and Brooklynn Salisbury.

Please continue to pray for complete healing, a quick recovery and God’s comfort for the Smith family as they go through this trial.

About Us

You have a choice when it comes to your child’s education. Cadillac Heritage Christian School is a non-denominational institution. CHCS provides a challenging academic curriculum and concern for the  success of each student above and beyond the norm.

We’re in the process of developing our site, one we hope will eventually become the central hub of communications and information for both our current families and those seeking to find out more about CHCS.  In the meantime, we’ve listed a few relevant links and other bits of  information that might help, and we’re always available via email, by  phone at (231) 775-4272, or if you’re in the area, visit us at 1706 Wright St in Cadillac

Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21).

  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons-Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1, Matt. 28:19, John 10:30).

  • We believe in the creation of the universe and man by the direct act of God in six, twenty-four hour days (Gen. 1:1-31).

  • We believe in the deity of Christ (John 10:33), His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matt. 1:23, Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrew 4:15, 7:26), His miracles (John 2:11), His vicarious and atoning death (I Cor. 15:3, Eph. 1:7, Heb. 2:9), His resurrection (John 11:25, I Cor. 15:4), His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19), and His personal return in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Rev. 19:11).

  • We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that we are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone we are saved (John 3:16-21, 5:24, Romans 3:23, 5:8-9, Eph. 2:8-10, Titus 3:5).

  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost-the saved to the resurrection of life, and the lost to the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29).

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:9, I Cor. 12:12-13, Gal. 3:26-28).

  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a Godly life (Rom. 8:13-14, I Cor. 3:16, 6:19-20, Eph. 4:30, 5:18).
