As many of you already know, Shaelyn Smith, a junior at our school, underwent surgery Tuesday, October 16 to remove a brain tumor. Praising God, the surgery was successful. We are continuing to lift Shae and her family in prayer. The Smith family is a big part of our CHCS family. Shaelyn’s mother, Julie Smith, is an elementary teacher at CHCS. Her father, Kameron Smith, is on our school board and Shae’s sister Acacia is a CHCS graduate and sister Lovina is a CHCS sixth grade student.
Shaelyn’s volleyball teammates have rallied around Shae and they came up with the idea to sell t-shirts and sweatshirts to show support for the Smith family. The shirts will feature Shaelyn’s favorite colors and Bible verse. Proceeds will be given to the Smiths. Order forms are available in the office or from CHCS students, Katie Crago and Brooklynn Salisbury.
Please continue to pray for complete healing, a quick recovery and God’s comfort for the Smith family as they go through this trial.
